PELHAM, AL - Last weekend the Mullinax Racing team intended to run the E-Z-GO Challenge for $10,000 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ms. This was changed at last minute due to a large chance of rain and the race was pushed back to the following weekend.

Now the race will go ahead with perfect racing weather in the forecast and the team decided to go to it over the Peach State Classic, which has a high chance of rain. This CRUSA sanctioned race will attract the best of the best in 604 Crate Late Model racing in the South East and Maddux and Caden will take them on.

For Maddux this will be his first trip to the track to race since 2014 where he tried to make a CRUSA (formerly Nesmith) Crate race but sustained damage in the heat race knocking him out of contention. He is looking forward to improving on the positive momentum at Whynot a few weeks ago in this fast dry track.

Caden is making his first ever trip to The Mag in his life as he has never ran nor visited the track before. This will make a unique challenge for the younger Mullinax but one that he believes he is up to.

Magnolia Motor Speedway is a tricky 1/3rd mile wide oval track that is notorious for becoming extremely dry-slick quickly, so much so that many people dubbed it "Black Ice". This tricky track should provide fast paced multi-lane racing where an outside and inside lanes are available to run on.

You can follow along with live updates from the track on the Mullinax Racing Facebook page or @MullinaxRacing on Instagram.
