PELHAM, AL - On Tuesday, January 24th, Mullinax Racing will set off on their longest road trip from home yet, East Bay Raceway Park. With three races in just as many days, this weekend will be full of learning, competition, and of course, racing.
East Bay Raceway Park is a 1/3rd mile track located just outside Tampa Bay, Florida and has had a long and storied stay that is coming to an end in the coming season. Josh Adkins and Caden Mullinax will join the CRUSA 604 Late Model series as they kick off the final full season at the speedway.
The weekend will also mark the end of the Crate Racin USA Winter Nationals series, an eight-race series taking place during January of 2023. Adkins competed in the first of these races at the Ice Bowl in Red Farmer's F97 machine, but the team chose to sit out races at 411 and Volusia race tracks.
Wednesday will consist of practice at the track where both Adkins and Mullinax will try to dial their cars in at a track that neither has ever been to before. Practice will be crucial for the drivers as they will need every lap to count in preparation for three days of racing.
Starting Thursday, the team will have three full shows over the next three days, meaning that every night will have qualifying, heats, and full paying features. Thursday and Friday's features will pay out $2,500 while Saturday will be capped off with a $5,000-to-win feature race.
With all of these factors in place the team expects to have to go up against a tough field that will make qualifying for the feature race difficult. In spite of this the team is still confident that they can pull it off and come home with good results.
Updates of the weekend will be found on Mullinax Racing the social media pages where everything will be kept as current as possible. If you want to follow the Mullinax Racing team, make sure you follow the Facebook page or follow us on Instagram @MullinaxRacing.
